Role overview
We're seeking a dynamic Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to craft cutting-edge data solutions utilizing the Microsoft Fabric platform. Dive into data integration, orchestration, and transformation to create the foundation for robust data-driven initiatives across diverse client projects.
Key responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Fabric-centric data platforms and data warehouses
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, effectively utilizing relevant Fabric solutions
Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout Microsoft Fabric environments
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data solutions
Troubleshoot and optimize existing Fabric implementations for enhanced performance

Requirements
Must haves:
Microsoft Fabric expertise: demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining complex data pipelines with Microsoft Fabric
Data Engineering foundations: solid experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling (dimensional, normalized)
Azure knowhow: strong working knowledge of Azure services, especially Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database
Coding fluency: proficiency in SQL, Python, or other languages for data scripting, transformation, and automation
Fluent in Dutch & English, French is a strong plus
Nice to haves:
Big data background: familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
Databricks familiarity: experience with Databricks technologies
Machine Learning exposure: understanding how data transformations support downstream ML workflows
Data Visualization skills: ability to develop dashboards or reports using tools like Power BI enhances insights delivery
